 Freshman (2013): Allen couldn't have been much better for the Saints in his freshman season with the guys in green in 2013.  He led the team in nearly every category including average (.391), runs (60), hits (90), doubles (15), triples (10), and home runs (5), and was just one RBI from leading that category as well with 40.  He was a 1st Team All-Region VI as well as a 1st Team All-Jayhawk West selection, marking the first time since 2009 (Mikel Huston), that a Seward outfielder had done so.  He was nearly unanimously named the Jayhawk West Freshman of the Year in 2013 as he led all West players with his 10 triples and was 2nd in batting average at .391, runs scored with 60, and third in doubles with 15.  He was the only player in the league that ended the season with at least 5 home runs and at least 15 doubles.  Allen was the only Saint to play in all 63 games in 2013, starting in each appearance.  He failed to record a hit in just eight games as a freshman and had a team best 26 multi-hit games.  He had three separate stretches of three straight multi-hit games in his rookie season for Seward.  The first came in the first three games of the Saints series with rival Garden City when he went 8 for 13 in the first three games of the series, good for a .615 average.  The next came just a week later when he torched Hutchinson and Pratt for 10 hits in a four game stretch, hitting at a .625 clip during that streak.  The last coming in a three game stretch to close the regular season and open the playoffs when he had three straight three hit games against Cloud County, Dodge City, and Independence, finishing that span 9 for 12, a .750 average.  He made a name for himself early on in his Seward County career, hitting a walk off three run home run to beat McCook in just his third collegiate game.  The best game of his freshman season came in early March against Barton when he went 4 for 6 with a home run and 4 RBI's to lead the Saints to a 15-7 win over the Cougars.  Allen recorded a hit in 6 of the 7 Region VI Tournament games for the Saints.  He finished the tournament 13 for 29, good for a .448 average to lead the Saints to a 3rd place finish.

High School: Allen starred for four seasons for Coach Bret Barrick and Mineral Wells High School before coming to the Saints in 2012.  Allen was a 1st Team All-District and 2nd Team All-State pick as a senior, hitting .426 with 5 home runs and 31 RBI's for MWHS.  Allen finished his career at Mineral Wells with 41 doubles, 16 triples, 17 home runs, and nearly 100 RBI's and was named All-District three seperate times.  He has one sister, Bethany (17) and one brother, Braxton (16).
