Torres Signs with Delta State
Liberal, Kansas – After helping to lead the Lady Saints to another NJCAA National Tournament appearance where Seward County placed 6th overall, Lara Torres Baron has made her decision to sign at the four-year level with Delta State University to continue her collegiate tennis career at the Division II level.
The Argentina native helped lead Seward County towards the top of the NJCAA with a strong year that saw the Lady Saints go 12-3 overall on the 2024 campaign. Torres Baron recorded win after win on the season with 13 total wins in singles action while taking 11 wins in doubles actions as a part of four different pairings.
She will be joining a Delta State team that went 2-6 on the 2024 season where the Statesmen struggled in conference action in the GSC at the NCAA Division II level.
